Scope
These Terms of Use apply to oilindicator.com and the NorthLedger Tax Advisory content and Personal Tax Change Review operated by Environmental TAX Advisory. By using the website or submitting a review request, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, do not submit personal information through the review form.
Nature of the article and review
The article explains current Canadian tax changes and selected federal limits in general terms. The Personal Tax Change Review is a preliminary issue-mapping service intended to identify areas that may warrant further verification based on the broad facts you provide. It is not tax-return preparation, legal representation, audit defence, investment management, financial planning or a binding tax opinion.
Tax outcomes depend on facts not captured by a short intake form, including province or territory of residence, tax residency, family relationships, source and timing of income, ownership structure, adjusted cost base, prior elections, carry-forward balances and documentation. You remain responsible for verifying filing positions and deadlines and for obtaining professional advice appropriate to material transactions or disputes.
No professional relationship from browsing
Reading the article, using an interactive tool or sending an initial request does not by itself create an accountant-client, lawyer-client, fiduciary or investment-advisory relationship. Any later professional engagement must be established separately and may be subject to additional terms, scope, eligibility review and conflict checks.
Your responsibilities
You agree to provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge and not to impersonate another person or submit information you are not authorized to provide. You should not submit Social Insurance Numbers, full tax returns, account passwords, banking credentials or other unnecessary sensitive credentials through the website form.
You are responsible for keeping copies of records that support your tax positions. Interactive tools on the article page are designed to organize published thresholds and topics; they are not tax calculators and should not be used to determine an amount payable or a refund.
Current information and official sources
NorthLedger uses current official Canadian sources when preparing the tax-change article. Government guidance, legislation and administrative positions can still change after publication. Where a source is linked, the official source should be checked again before a decision or filing position is finalized, particularly if the issue is time-sensitive or legislation has recently changed.
Availability
We may update, suspend or modify site features to maintain security, accuracy or service quality. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. A temporary interruption does not alter obligations that already arose under a separate written engagement, if one exists.
Intellectual property
Original NorthLedger editorial text, design, layout and branding are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may read, print or save reasonable portions for personal reference. Republishing substantial portions, removing attribution from proprietary materials or presenting the service as your own commercial product requires permission.
External sources
The article links to official Government of Canada, Canada Revenue Agency and Parliament of Canada pages for verification. Those external services are operated independently and may change their content, URLs, availability or policies. A link does not transfer responsibility for third-party content to Environmental TAX Advisory.
Limitation of responsibility
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Environmental TAX Advisory is not responsible for losses arising solely from reliance on general article content or an automated interactive state without verification of the taxpayer’s complete facts. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
If a paid professional service is ever offered under a separate engagement, any fee, cancellation and refund provisions will be stated in that engagement. The current Personal Tax Change Review request shown on this website requires no payment.
Privacy and communications
Personal information is handled as described in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Commercial electronic communications directed to Canadian recipients are handled with applicable consent, identification and unsubscribe requirements in mind. Service communications that are necessary to answer a request may still be sent where legally permitted.
Applicable law and disputes
These terms are intended to operate alongside mandatory consumer, privacy and other laws that may apply based on the circumstances. The existence of a Canadian tax audience does not change the company information provided for Environmental TAX Advisory. If a dispute concerns a separate signed engagement, the governing-law and dispute terms in that engagement will control to the extent they validly apply.
